In a significant move for the Western Texas College volleyball program, Lauren Fuller has officially committed to continue her athletic journey with the McNeese State University. After two successful years at Western Texas College, where she showcased her talents not only on the volleyball court but also on the softball field, Fuller is poised to make a lasting impact in the Southland Conference.

During her freshman year at Western Texas College, Lauren Fuller proved herself to be a true multisport athlete, splitting her time between volleyball and softball. On the softball diamond, she played in 43 games, exhibiting an impressive .351 hitting percentage, launching 8 home runs, and contributing 30 RBIs. Her versatility and skill set were on full display as she made valuable contributions to both teams.

However, it was on the volleyball court where Fuller truly excelled. Taking on the role of Libero, she played in 64 matches and 234 sets across two seasons, accumulating an impressive 1370 digs and 158 assists. Her top-notch defense and strategic play earned her recognition as a standout player in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference (WJCAC).

Fuller's consistent performance led to her inclusion in the WJCAC Region V-West All-Conference team for both of her seasons at Western Texas College. Additionally, she demonstrated excellence not only in athletics but also in academics, earning a spot on the WJCAC All-Academic 2nd Team during her freshman season.

As Lauren Fuller transitions to McNeese State University, the Cowboys are gaining a player known for her elite defense and all-around athleticism. McNeese State finished the 2023 volleyball season with a 16-17 overall record and an impressive 13-5 record in the highly competitive Southland Conference. With Fuller joining the roster, the team has high hopes of contending for a Southland Conference title in the upcoming season.
