Anchorage native Avery Northcutt is set to take her volleyball talents to the next level as she signs with the University of Alaska Anchorage. The 6'3 middle hitter spent two successful seasons at Western Texas College, and her commitment to the Seawolves signals an exciting new chapter in her athletic journey.

During her tenure at Western Texas College, Northcutt emerged as a solid player on the court. Over 33 matches spanning two seasons, she showcased her skills, finishing her career with 56 kills. Notably, her sophomore campaign saw a significant uptick, accounting for 40 of those kills. Beyond scoring, Northcutt made her presence felt at the net, contributing a formidable 98 blocks over the two-year period.

The University of Alaska Anchorage's volleyball program, under the guidance of Head Coach Stacie Meisner, is looking to rebound from a challenging 2023 season where they posted a 16-17 record, including an 8-10 mark in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC). The Seawolves had enjoyed considerable success in the 2022 season, finishing with a remarkable 27-3 overall record and an outstanding 17-1 record in conference play.
