The Western Texas College Track & Field team had a remarkable performance at the 2024 NJCAA Indoor Nationals, with Asia Foster leading the charge by securing the national championship in the Women’s 600 meters. Foster's time of 1:31.92 was not only a personal triumph but also marked the third-fastest time ever recorded for that event in the NJCAA.

In addition to Foster's victory, the team boasted four All-Americans. Lovina Ewusi demonstrated her skill by clinching second place in the 60M Hurdles with a swift time of 8.61 seconds, and she also claimed fourth place in the 200M with a time of 23.92 seconds. Grace Obour showcased her speed with a second-place finish in the 400M, completing the race in 54.52 seconds. Brieanna Boyce secured sixth place in the 60M hurdles, crossing the line in 8.85 seconds. The women's 4x400 relay team, comprised of Boyce, Foster, Ewusi, and Obour, also achieved a commendable second-place finish.

Despite the men's team not achieving the same level of success, Sanjay Salmon and Tyrique Johnson represented Western Texas College well by placing eighth in the 60M and 600M events, respectively.

Overall, the women's team's performance propelled them to a fifth-place finish in the event, showcasing their talent and determination throughout the season. As the season transitions to outdoor competitions, the Westerners are poised to build upon their success and vie for more accolades for Western Texas College.
