Stephanie Bertelsen Turning Pro

Stephanie Bertelsen has decided to continue her golf adventure in the United States. Stephanie graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas in December last year with a degree in General Business, and has spent Christmas break at home in Vejle, Denmark with her family. She has spent her break working on her game and preparing for a new status as professional golf player.

Stephanie is excited for what is ahead of her. She says, "I am blessed to have the opportunity to turn professional directly after graduating college. Seeing how I have just played the best golf of my career in 2015, I believe this moment is the most opportune time for me to take the next step to further my golf career. In 2015, I reached many goals, such as: playing in the NCAA Nationals and representing Denmark in the European Championship." Bertelsen further states, "I enjoyed my combined four years in college in Snyder, Texas and Lubbock, Texas, and I am very thankful for the hospitality and support I experienced during my duration in both cities."

Stephanie played her first two years at Western Texas College in Snyder, Texas, where she got All-American honors both years and won three individual events her sophomore year. Upon graduation from Western Texas College, Stephanie joined JoJo Robertson's program, and played an important role in Texas Tech University's historic run at the NCAA Nationals.

Stephanie plans to have her first Symetra Tour start in IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in Beaumont, California on February 19-21st. The tour continues until October.
