Kimberly Best, a sophomore forward from Carlsbad, New Mexico, has signed with University of Texas-Permian Basin (UTPB). UTPB is an NCAA Division II school located in Odessa.

Best will be joining the Falcon program after starting 18 of 24 games during the 2019-2020 season. She has a 40% field goal percentage, 23% from three point range, and 79% from the free throw line. Best is also averaging 8 points, 4 rebounds and 1 block per game during the season.

Best was a first-team WJCAC All-Academic in the fall of 2019.

“I believe the best is yet to come for Kim as a basketball player,” said Darryl Davis, WTC’s Head Women’s Basketball Coach.  “I’m thankful that she has been a part of the program for the last year and a half. She has been a positive member of our program—she has represented the program and school in a very positive way. I wish her the best moving forward.”
