The Westerners Cross Country team hosted their home cross country meet this weekend (9-16-17). With most of the teams from our Region coming to our meet, this was a good chance to see where everyone stacks up. Both teams were a little more excited this morning knowing they were going to race in front of their home crowd.
The men's team was led by Jesse Ortiz for the 3rd weekend in a row. The top 5 ran really well and did a good job of having very few people in between them. This type of race is exactly what Regionals is going to look like. As a team everyone did their part, competed, and that's all we ask of our athletes.

The Ladies were led by Nicole Penick this week. We were a little banged up as a team this last week. The ladies that we were able to have start the race did a good job of competing and representing our program. It was exciting to see where a few of our girls are standing in the Region.
