The Westerners had a successful opener to the 2017 indoor track season at the University of Oklahoma. WTC claimed four event wins and twelve national qualifying performances.
Event winners sophomore Sean Washington in the 800.
National qualifiers were:
- Louis Davis, 60 meters-6.87, #10 in the NJCAA
- Sean Bailey, 600 yards-1:13.04, #5 in the NJCAA
- Men's 4x400 (Orwin Emilien, Sean Bailey, Shivnarine Smalling, Robin Black) 3:20.23, #6 in the NJCAA
