Charlie Michel finished his first season in 2022-2023 as Head Coach for the men’s soccer program at Western Texas College (WTC). Michel was awarded Coach of the Year for his first year as head coach. The WTC men's soccer program finished the semester with a 3.2 overall GPA.

WTC men’s soccer was once again crowned Conference Champions and Region Champions. The WTC men’s soccer program fell short in the District Championship match after a 3-2 result in overtime, preventing their ticket to the national tournament.

Soccer has always been Michel’s passion and it has opened many doors for him. He had the opportunity to make a three-week trial in Mexico with Tigres, helping him tremendously in his soccer career. He played two years at Richland College, making it to nationals both consecutive years - reaching a national quarter-final his first year and a national semi-final his second year. Then, he transferred to Texas A&M International and made it to a national tournament his last year there for the first time in program history.

Charlie Michel received his Associate of Arts from Richland College in 2014. He earned his Bachelor’s in Business in Accounting from Texas A&M International in 2020.
