Ranger, TX – The Western Texas College men's soccer team traveled to Ranger College on Thursday afternoon for a conference showdown, where the Westerners fell 2-0 to the 19th-ranked Rangers. The result marked the first time since 2019 that the Westerners have opened conference play with a 0-2 record.
Pablo Lobon led the team with five shot attempts, while Myles Taylor and Hector Montoya each recorded a shot on goal.
Brian Garcia had a busy afternoon, registering four saves while facing six shots on goal.
The Westerners will match up against Eastern Florida State College on Thursday, October 2, at Richland College in Dallas, Texas. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m. CDT.
