Western Texas Fall Short to Frank Phillips

Snyder, TX - Western Texas men's basketball (11-10, 2-5 WJCAC) hosted the Frank Phillips Plainsmen (17-4, 5-2 WJCAC), 57-61. 

The Westerners took on the Plainsmen on Thursday night in a tightly contested battle. Midway through the first half, Ronald Durham put the home team up by six with a jump shot. Minutes later, Frank Phillips would go flip the scoreboard from a three, 12-13. The Westerners would fight back and end the first half ahead, 27-23. 

In the second half, the Westerners would be outscored by eight and fall to the Plainsmen, 57-61. Durham led the team in scoring with 20 points, four assists and a rebound. Makhaya Moore had the most rebounds for his team with seven, scored six points and had an assist. 

UP NEXT: Western Texas College will remain home for their next game against New Mexico Military on Monday, February 3rd.
