Notably, this marked his second consecutive game scoring 30+ points, following a remarkable 42-point performance in a 99-84 win over Temple the day before Thanksgiving.

Daniel Nixon also delivered an outstanding performance for the Westerners, contributing 24 points on 9/15 shooting and displaying accuracy from the free-throw line by making 5 of 6 attempts.
