Nyarko showcased exceptional efficiency, shooting an impressive 70% from the field and going 6-8 at the free-throw line. Notably, this marked his second consecutive game scoring 30+ points, following a remarkable 42-point performance in a 99-84 win over Temple the day before Thanksgiving.

Daniel Nixon also delivered an outstanding performance for the Westerners, contributing 24 points on 9/15 shooting and displaying accuracy from the free-throw line by making 5 of 6 attempts.

The Westerners showcased their strength and skill by outscoring the Mustangs 58-24 in the paint. Despite the University of the Southwest's JV Squad bench outscoring the Westerners' bench 22-4, the physical presence of Western Texas in the paint proved too much for the Mustangs to overcome.

Looking ahead, the Westerners are gearing up for a rematch against Weatherford at the WTC Coliseum. In their previous encounter this season, Weatherford emerged victorious with a 94-53 win on November 4th. With a current season record of 6-4, the Westerners are seeking revenge against Weatherford, who currently holds a 5-3 record.
