The Westerners Cross Country teams competed at the NJCAA Region V Championships, hosted by New Mexico Junior College –Hobbs, New Mexico.
The women competed tough, even after an injury on the squad kept them from competing for a team placing...the team was able to stay close together and not allow many runners in between them while running the 5,000 meter course. Taylor Richards led the team by placing25th in the region and 21st in the conference.
