The Western Junior College Athletic Conference has announced the Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 1-7.
Western Texas College right-side hitter Keyla Lara is the WJCAC Offensive Player of the Week.
The 6-0 sophomore from El Paso, TX was named to the All-Tournament team at the NCTC Invitational. For the week, she had 41 kills, 2 solo blocks, 12 block assists and 18 digs with a hitting percentage of .500.
New Mexico Military Institute libero Hula Crisostomo is the WJCAC Defensive Player of the Week.
The 5-1 sophomore from Honolulu, HI continued to dominate the backcourt with 77 digs and zero reception errors last weekend, moving her to No. 6 on the NJCAA's digs leaderboard with 240. She also picked up a pair of service aces and 17 set assists for the Broncos last week as they went undefeated in four matches at the Odessa College Invitational.
