Over the weekend the WTC Women's Volleyball team competed at the Vernon Tournament hosted by Vernon College.

The ladies started off the tournament winning both their matches. First, WTC defeated Vernon 25-23, 25-21, 11-25, 25-21 and then they defeated Labette 25-15, 25-10, 25-13. On Saturday the team started off playing against Trinity Valley, winning the first game 25-19 but losing the next three games. The tide turned with Richland College as the Lady Westerners won three straight games 23-25, 18-25, 23-25. The team made a strong comeback at the end of the tournament by defeating Richland 25-16, 25-12, 25-18.

Two players made the All Tournament Team: #12 Abigail Talbott and #11 Adriahna Kirk.

The Lady Westerners' next match is August 30th at Ranger College.
