Western Texas College is very happy to welcome Veronica Sherrod to the WTC family!
Sherrod proved a standout when she won the 300-meter low hurdles in a time of 43.97 seconds at the Illinois state championship in 2019. She was part of the East St. Louis High (East St. Louis. Illinois) Flyerettes that won many of the track and field events.
When asked about the 2018 championship, Sherrod said, "Last year left a bad taste for us. We were determined not to come up short this time."
She will enter WTC in the fall of 2020 as a freshman.
