Women's NJCAA Indoor National Championship Recap

Women's Track Team

The Women's track and field team finished 10th place overall at this past weekend's NJCAA Indoor National Championship meet hosted by Pittsburg State University. The Lady Westerners were lead by Abigail Kwarteng who won her first National Title in the High Jump. The Lady Westerners also had four athletes finish in the top 8 overall Cameka Witter 4th (600m), Deborah Acquah 4th (Triple Jump) and 6th (Long Jump), and Britaney Duncan 7th (600m). Other notable finishers were Britaney Duncan 9th (60H), Kimisha Chambers 11th (400m), Segale Brown 14th (400m), Amberlyn Lewis-Waller 21st (400), Shanice Williams 13th (200m), Anytcy Marin 12th (5k), and Sha'Vonne Jackson 32nd (60m). The team also had four school records broken during the meet they are listed below. Next meet will be the Wes Kittley Invitational on March 24th and 25th hosted by ACU.
