Eliserio Signs with University of the Southwest

Karen Eliserio signs papers to play with University of the Southwest.

Karen Eliserio Torres, a defender and midfielder on the WTC women’s soccer team, will join the University of the Southwest Mustangs this fall. Eliserio, a sophomore from Lubbock, Texas, will play in Hobbs, New Mexico, for the NAIA university.

During her sophomore season, Eliserio finished with one assist and started all games last fall. She was part of an offense that scored an average of 2 goals per game. Eliserio was a WJCAC Region V women’s soccer Honorable Mention in both 2018 and 2019.

“I feel confident that Karen will do great things in her next journey,” said Angel Robles, WTC Women’s Soccer Head Coach. “Over her two years at WTC, she has developed as a player and, most importantly, as a student. Best of luck to Karen!”
