Since beginning his occupation in 1996, Rodeo Coach Greg Rhodes has continued to add to the tradition that identifies Western Texas College as one of the dominant college rodeo programs in the nation.

In 22 years of going to the CNFR, Coach Rhodes has overseen a combined 13 National Champions and 13 Reserve National Champions ( Team & Individuals), making his tenure one of the most successful of any sporting program in the nation.

Western Texas College Rodeo also has claimed its share of academic honors under Rhodes. The rodeo team has had individuals receive conference and All-American Academics awards.

Coach Rhodes is known as a coach who introduces his student athletes to the mental approach of performing and winning, as well as the technical mechanics. Rhodes has had the opportunity to study and associate with some of the most successful athletes in the world.

Rhodes competed in the rodeo program at Western Texas College before moving on to New Mexico State University where he earned a degree in agricultural economics.

Rhodes and his wife Canita have two children, Cayelea and Brenon. The Rhodes family resides in Snyder, Texas.
