Shuntorri (Bre) Rodgers, a sophomore guard with WTC Lady Westerner Basketball, has signed to continue her athletic and academic career with Sam Houston State University. The Bearkats, located in Huntsville, Texas, are an NCAA Division I University competing in the Southland Conference.

Rodgers’ Lady Westerner career over the previous two seasons had her starting in 42 of 44 games. She had a 31% field goal percentage, 30% from the three-point line, and 82% from the free throw line. She also averaged 12 points per game. Additionally, Rodgers averaged 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks per game.

Rodgers was named an honorable mention for the 2020 WJCAC All-Conference women’s basketball team. She was also a part of the 2021 WJCAC All-Conference basketball team.
