The Westerners Cross Country teams competed at the NJCAA Region V Championships, hosted by New Mexico Junior College –Hobbs, New Mexico.
Michael Gonzalez led the men's team to a 5th place finish, while placing 16th overall in the region and 15th in the conference. Gonzalez was only 1 second off of his personal best. Adan Maciel finished 2nd on the team, running the 8,000 meter course in 29:05. The men scored 136 points overall.
