Westerners claimed 8 event wins at the David Noble Relays at San Angelo State.

In a 10 team competition that included eight NCAA universities, the Western Texas College track and field women's teams came away with five victories while the men tallied three wins, both teams had several top 5 finishes.
Freshman Deborah Acquah led the women's team with wins in the long and triple jumps. Acquah's jump of 20' 5 75" ties her for the  national lead, her jump of 42' 5.25" in the triple jump, places her second on the national list.
Sophomore Britaney Duncan moves up to second on the national list with her win in the 400 hurdles, with a time of 60.31...teammate Kimisha Chambers leads the nation with a time of 59.20.
Sophomore Cameka Witter, currently 8th on the national list in the 800 meters, won the event in 2:17.37.
Freshman Segale Brown already a national qualifier, ran 56.74 to win the 400 meters.
Travis Riley got the men off on a winning note by jumping 25' 7.25" in the long jump. A mark that places him second in the nation.
Freshman Shivnarine Smalling won the 100 meters in a national leading time of 10.18.
Indoor national champion, Sean Bailey provided a win in the 400 meters in 47.83.
