Edgardo Espinal, a sophomore midfielder from Austin, Texas, and Lewis Richmond, a sophomore midfielder from Blackburn, England, will both be joining the Wayland Baptist Pioneers soccer program in the fall. Wayland Baptist University, located in Plainview, Texas, is a member of the NAIA.

During Espinal’s time as a Westerner, he scored 2 goals and 2 assists. 13 of his 23 total shots were on goal for a 57% rate. Espinal was named All-Region in 2019.

Richmond was part of a Westerner defense that in 2018 only allowed 1.5 goals per game, including 3 shutout wins during the 2019 season. Richmond was named to the WJCAC All-Academic team in Fall 2018, Spring 2019, and Fall 2019.
