Zach Hibler Named Colt Bruce Memorial Scholarship Recipient

Western Texas College is pleased to announce Zach Hibler as the recipient of the Colt Bruce Memorial Scholarship for 2016.

The Bruce family established the scholarship to honor Colt who was tragically killed in an auto accident.

The scholarship provides bareback riding scholarships to help students pursue the same dream Colt had: to mark 'em out and let 'em fly!

"It is with great pleasure to have Mr. Hibler receive this on Colt's behalf," said WTC Rodeo Coach Greg Rhodes. "Colt was a tremendous young man and Zach has shown the character that would have made Colt proud."

Hibler is a sophomore at WTC and hails from Wheeler, Texas. He won the Texas High School Bareback Riding Championship at age 14. Hibler has trained with many cowboys and even attended one of the largest bareback riding schools in the nation.
